About Us

About Us

The mission of Law Dreams is simple. We aim to help students make law school a reality and make their legal career a reality. Founded by a Harvard Law School grad and practicing lawyer who later served as a dean at Harvard Law School, we know the law journey firsthand. At Law Dreams, we recognize that the road to law school is often not easy, and the steps can be confusing. That's why we launched our company. We want to demystify the road to law school admissions as well as the path to fulfilling careers in law-related fields.

A law degree is one of the most valuable, versatile degrees out there. The skillsets that students develop in law school can be applied to nearly infinite uses. Additionally, it is no secret that lawyers -- and people with law degrees -- possess a unique capacity to be effective leaders who shape our world. So, at Law Dreams, no matter what your dream of when you think of enrolling in law school or becoming a lawyer, we want your dreams to come to fruition. We hope you'll find that pursuing your law dreams with us proves to be rewarding, full of growth, and a lot of fun.

WHO WE ARE

Our Founder Stephen

Stephen, the founder and CEO of Law Dreams, is a New York-licensed attorney who earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School. Born in Detroit and raised in nearby Southfield, MI, Stephen grew up in a typical Metro Detroit family, with loving parents who were employed by the automotive industry. A first-generation college student, Stephen completed his undergraduate degree in political science at the University of Michigan. Following that, he also completed a master's degree in public policy at the Gerald R. Ford School at the University of Michigan before heading to Harvard Law School.

During law school, Stephen enjoyed summer work experiences in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Detroit. He began his post-law school career in the New York City office of a major law firm, primarily practicing complex commercial litigation. After successful years of practice, Stephen opted to pursue other professional passions. This led him to take senior positions at AAA Insurance, Airbnb, and Wells Fargo. All the while, Stephen also built a standout track record as someone deeply committed to mentoring students -- evening penning an essay about mentoring for Harvard Magazine. In addition, at every step of his career, he cultivated opportunities to support college students, graduate students, and young professionals in need of guidance.

ABOUT US

Professional Achievements and Community Engagement

Stephen's work culminated in his eventual return to Harvard Law School, his alma mater, as Dean of Students. In this role, he was responsible for the wellbeing and general experience of nearly 2,000 burgeoning lawyers at the world's most preeminent law school. Leading a talented team, he curated students' journey from orientation through commencement. Most notably, his efforts included introducing mandatory programming concerning leadership and other critical concepts, launching Harvard Law School's first-ever pre-orientation program designed to support first-generation college students, and pioneering a series of offsite welcome events for incoming students in strategic cities nationwide. Also, as one might expect, he enjoyed countless hours of mentoring and advising conversations with numerous law students and aspiring law students.

Along with his work at Harvard, Stephen has served as a guest speaker at a number of educational institutions, including Columbia University, the University of Michigan, St. Peter's University, and several high schools across the U.S. He also sits on the board of directors of a mentoring organization in the New York Metro Area.

An avid traveler, Stephen enjoys exploring the world, checking out new places, and gaining exposure to new cultures. In his spare time, he likes running, hiking, writing, following sports (especially his Michigan Wolverines!), watching movies, and spending time with family.
